Designed
for long working life and maximum reliability, the pin mills consists
principally of a body in cast iron with separate panels, one of which
is hinged to facilitate inspection and renewal of the peg rotor.
The drive and rotor support shafts are mounted on permanent oil bath
lubricated, self-adjusting radial roller bearings, in supports complete
with cover and special labyrinth seals.
The electric motor for the rotor on the hinge side is secured on a mounting
plate specially designed to accomodate it and hinged at lower part of
cast iron base of the mill.
The second motor, which drives the rotor on the loading side, is secured
to the floor by means of a sliding mounting plate.
Drive is transmitted from the machine to the counter-rotating rotors
by means of 2 V Belts.
